HOKs Program

Feb. 05, 2019

Dear Raiders Parents,

Thank you for providing feedback on the structure of our A HOKs program for 2019. We had many great responses that allowed us to communicate the wishes of our membership on these matters to our partner organizations in how to structure this program for the 2019 season. At the February 4, 2019 CDLA Board Meeting the following matters were agreed with respect to the operation of this program for 2019:

-The PeeWee Division will contain a "North HOKs" and  a "South HOKs" team with the North team being a combination of the Knights and Strathmore clubs. The South HOKs will be a combination of the Okotoks and High River clubs.

-The Bantam Division will contain a single club which will be open to players from the High River, Okotoks, Knights and Strathmore clubs. In order to try and minimize travel for practices for all participants, the team will practice at a central location. That will either be the Indus or South Soccer Centre facility depending on availability.

-The Midget Division will operate in the same manner as it has in prior seasons.

We believe that this solution will continue to offer our players an opportunity to participate at lacrosse at the highest levels available in the CDLA while respecting parents and players time and travel.

Evaluations for the South HOKs PeeWee team and the Bantam and Midget HOKs teams will start on March 2, 2019. We hope that all players with an interest in this level of lacrosse will register and tryout so that we can make these programs as successful as possible.

Thank  you again for your interest and participation in Raiders Lacrosse and we look forward to seeing you at the field!
